Marc Guehi and Jarrad Branthwaite are among the players on Tottenham’s radar as they grapple with an injury crisis in the centre of defence.
Tottenham held a meeting this week to discuss defenders they could potentially sign in January due to the injury to Micky van de Ven and Eric Dier’s contract situation.
Van de Ven tore his hamstring in the defeat to Chelsea earlier this month and has been ruled out until 2024.
Meanwhile, Dier, out of favour since Ange Postecoglou’s arrival before the injury to Van de Ven, sees his deal run out next summer.
Crystal Palace’s Guehi and Everton’s Branthwaite have both impressed in the Premier League this season and AC Milan’s Malick Thiaw, Morato of Benfica and Sporting Lisbon’s Goncalo Inacio are also being tracked by Spurs.
