It wasn’t pretty, but Chelsea managed a win today at home against Brighton.
It was painful at times, but once they were down to ten they had to dig deep to score on the counter and defend well to earn a win.
The stadium was frustrated at first, but they did gradually get behind the team as the blocks began to fly in, and by the end the crowd were delighted with 3 points they were seriously doubting they’d get at some points.
“The fans are amazing and we need their help,” manager Mauricio Pochettino commented after the game to Chelsea TV.

There have been precious few home wins to favour in the last 12 months. This was an important one, and if we start stringing them together, we can really get the volume levels back to where they should be.
