Mykhailo Mudryk has not had many starts recently, but he got one today and played an important role in the win by winning a penalty which Enzo Fernandez converted.
It was hardly a vintage showing, but he did his bit, and he admitted that he got a “big boost” from hearing the crowd lift when he gets on the ball.
You can see the winger speaking in the latter half of the clip embedded here, by following this link.
The reason there’s so much excitement from the crowd is that they know what he can do with his speed. Sadly, all too rarely do we see him use it wisely.
We really hope the coaching he needs to be a more consistently dangerous threat for this team.
With wingers like him you always worry that the opposite can start happening – fans start to moan when they try something and it doesn’t come off. That can be really damaging, so we need some more positive contributions.
