Chelsea’s owner has reported taken a step back from his role at the club and is taking more of a backseat role.
According to The Daily Mail, Todd Boehly’s long absences from Chelsea this season have been noted by players and staff.
EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea’s owner WANTS to sign Victor Osimhen and WANTS to bring in a new striker ASAP!
The Mail’s sources close to Boehly insist that he always intended to step back to focus on other business interests, after acting as de facto sporting director for much of last season, and that his enthusiasm for Chelsea is undimmed.

Boehly was very hands-on in his early days as owner and he was pretty much doing it all. But now co-owner Behdad Eghbali, who manages the 60 per cent stake in the club owned by Clearlake Capital, has taken an increasingly hands-on role.
Eghbali has been credited with lead negotiations for a number of recent Chelsea transfer deals and looks like he will continue to be the one with the most amount of power and final decision making at the club.
