Bayern Munich star Serge Gnabry was off to a rousing return before his hot run of play was cut short again by injury.
Now, the Germany international is working hard to make yet another comeback and provide head coach Thomas Tuchel with another weapon to have at his disposal. Tz journalist Flo Schimak captured some video of Gnabry putting in work earlier today at Säbener Straße:
Abendzeitung’s Victor Catalina also captured video of Gnabry’s work, which has intensified in recent days:
⚽️ Serge Gnabry with another intensive training session today with Simon Martinello: Short passes, long passes, dribbling, turning and finishing. He’s increasing intensity by the day. Might even have a cameo against Frankfurt but the big goal remains Real Madrid. #FCBayern https://t.co/RUroitII0c pic.twitter.com/3l5VgJmDra

Per Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Gnabry could be ready to face Real Madrid, even if it is in a limited capacity:
Serge Gnabry has increased his individual training and completed intensive sprints, passes and shots on goal again today. There’s hope he’ll be fit in time for the game against Real Madrid, at least off the bench.
Sané taking it slow
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich is taking a very smart and conservative approach to Leroy Sané health. Things are progressing slowly with Sané, but the focus is on getting the Germany international ready to face Real Madrid next week:
ℹ️ Leroy Sané meanwhile continued his rehab program inside after his pubic problems. Message from the club is very clear: No risk at all. He needs to be as fit as he can possibly be for the games against Real Madrid. #FCBayern https://t.co/320SLTzOLA

Abendzeitung’s Maximilian Koch is reporting that Bayern Munich will also hold Sané out this weekend against Eintracht Frankfurt:
Die klare Tendenz bei Leroy #Sané ist, dass er auch am Samstag gegen Frankfurt geschont wird. Kein Training aktuell für ihn, er wird nur behandelt. Bayern schaut von Tag zu Tag. Die Hoffnung ist, dass es für die Startelf gegen @realmadrid reicht. #FCBayern @Abendzeitung

The clear trend for Leroy #Sané is that he will be rested on Saturday against Frankfurt. No training for him at the moment, he is just being treated. Bayern is taking it day by day. The hope is that he will be enough for the starting eleven against @realmadrid. #FCBayern @Abendzeitung
According to Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Sané will be slowly ramping up his effort each day in hopes of being ready to start against Real Madrid:
Leroy Sané has resumed running training on the pitch this afternoon. The player and the club have a clear plan to get Sané as fit as possible for the first leg against Real Madrid. He should slowly increase his individual training over the next few days and return to team training this weekend. Sané will not play against Frankfurt on Saturday. The goal is the starting XI against Real.

There was some controversy after the game, though, and it played out on social media:
