Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Declan Rice and Gabriel Magalhaes will undergo late fitness tests before the Nottingham Forest game tomorrow.
Rice picked up a minor hamstring issue in the second half of the 5-0 win over Crystal Palace. In the same game, Gabriel was substituted towards the end with a knee concern.
Both players have returned to training in some sessions and speaking in today’s press conference, Arteta said that a late decision will be made over his involvement.
Arsenal ended a three-match losing run with a convincing victory over Palace and they will be aiming for a similar result when they take on Forest on the road.
The club have a poor record at City Ground with three defeats on the bounce. A 1-0 loss at the stadium last season ended their title charge versus Manchester City.
The Gunners will be seeking revenge with three points in order to close the gap on leaders Liverpool, who are currently five points ahead.
