Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that midfielder Casemiro will be available for the FA Cup fifth round tie against Nottingham Forest on the road.
The Brazil international was recently substituted in the 53rd minute against Fulham in the Premier League. He was bleeding after a clash of heads and the medical staff decided to take him off.
Speaking in today’s press conference, Ten Hag said that there were no signs of concussion and the former Real Madrid man is in contention to face Forest at City Ground tomorrow.
While Casemiro is back in the mix, United have suffered a fresh setback with Harry Maguire ruled out with an injury. Bruno Fernandes and Raphael Varane are deemed to be doubtful.
Hence, United will go into the Cup tie with a much weakened side from the weekend and Ten Hag will be hoping that the players selected stand up to the occasion for the Red Devils.
