Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has vowed to take “a crack” at beating Manchester City when the two sides play each other on Tuesday evening.
Spurs are still in the race for the top 4 but they could also hand Arsenal the title if they take points off Pep Guardiola’s side. Speaking about his approach to his team’s remaining fixtures, Postecoglou said:
“There’s a big game for us on Tuesday night against City and it will be a great test for us and the Sheffield United one. I think we’ve got what it takes to make a game of it (against City) and play our football and see where that takes us.”
“They’re an outstanding team. They and Arsenal are the benchmark of the competition right now. They’re 20-odd points ahead of us and we’ve got some ground to make up, but it’s at our place, it’s 95 minutes of football and we’re going to have a crack.”
City supporters on X believe Tottenham’s fanbase would rather lose the match than give their North London rivals a chance of winning the league:

Guardiola’s men will face a big test against Spurs
Fans won’t need reminding that City have still not won a league game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium so there will be understandable nerves heading into this match.
Postecoglou’s side also made life tough for the reigning champions in the reverse fixture at the Etihad back in December when the game ended 3-3.
However, supporters will take heart from the fact that the most recent match between the two teams in the FA Cup at the start of this year did end in a City victory.
