Manchester City fans have been suitably impressed with Jamal Musiala’s performances for Germany at the European Championships.
The Bayern Munich forward scored his second goal of the tournament as the hosts beat Hungary 2-0 on Wednesday, and it led to supporters on X discussing whether he could make the switch to the Etihad:

He is sensational and would be perfect for City from the left.

I wouldn’t mind spending the 100+ millions on him, not on BG

What are the chances of City signing Musiala?
There is genuine interest in the German international with The Athletic reporting back in February that the Premier League champions are keeping an eye on the winger’s contract situation.
Musiala’s current deal expires in 2026 but negotiations between the player and Bayern over an extension have not taken place so far.
Is an offer for Musiala on the cards?
It is believed that manager Pep Guardiola is perfectly happy with his current squad but that could change if one of Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva or Matheus Nunes were to leave the Etihad.
De Bruyne has a year left on his contract and he has been linked with a transfer to Saudi Arabia; as has Nunes. Silva, meanwhile, is said to have a £50m release clause that can be activated this summer.
Even if one of these players is sold, though, Musiala may not be the No.1 target. The club may well go for a more defensive-minded player such as Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes.
