Bayern Munich sporting Christoph Freund never knows how a player will react when getting bad news concerning his spot on the team. Freund’s experience with Leon Goretzka finding out out that he had been dropped from the squad was, well, better than most.
“Very professional. But, of course, he’s not very happy at the moment, the situation is not so easy for him. He’s a top professional and is training really, really well. He’s always giving everything and is doing that now, too,” Freund told Sport1 (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
The Goretzka situation is a black eye for the club at the moment and one that even the players are commenting on. Hopefully, there is a resolution soon enough.
