According to a report from Tz (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich will continue to stifle Leon Goretzka and embarrass the veteran, as he will not dress for the team’s friendly against Grasshopper Zurich on Tuesday:
Leon Goretzka is very unlikely to be included in the squad neither for Tuesday’s friendly against Grasshopper Zurich nor Sunday’s Bundesliga opener in Wolfsburg. The club will continue to make it clear to Goretzka that he no longer has a place in the team.
This certainly will amp up feelings on the matter for people on both sides of the issue, but Bayern Munich could be hindering its own ability to sell Goretzka by continuing to make it look like he cannot play at all.
To outside observers, this must look awfully weird, but to anyone following how Max Eberl and Christoph Freund have sought to impose their will on the roster so far, it all seems par for the course.
Mia San Mia and all of that…
