- Leeds picked up their first three points of the Championship on Friday
- They beat Sheffield Wednesday thanks to goals from Dan James and Aaronson
- But one Leeds fan stole the show during The Whites second goal
Leeds United fans couldn’t contain their excitement last night as Dan James slotted home a lovely through ball from Mateo Joseph to secure their first three points of the season at the third time of asking.
Fans jumped in ecstasy as a sea of yellow players swarmed them to celebrate James’ goal.
But one man who got engulfed in the mosh pit of celebrations grabbed the attention of most… for quite a peculiar reason.
During the celebrations a bald man comes surging towards the touchline, eager to share the moment with the players but you can’t help but notice the pie he is holding up to try and keep out of the madness but failing miserably at it.
As he celebrates alongside the other gaggle of fans, the pie tragically begins to crumble and disintegrate from his grip as he simultaneously loses his own composure and falls over the advertising board.
A leeds fan has gone viral on social media after celebrating Leeds’ second goal scored by Dan James whilst holding a pie in his hand
The gleeful Leeds supporter surged towards the front of the crowd to celebrate with James and Co but he wasn’t going to abandon his pie
Despite falling through the advertising board he managed to keep the pie safe, even taking a bite once all the celebrations were over
However his quick thinking may of saved the day as whilst the devoted Leeds fan is sent crashing through the advertising board he manages to sneak in a few bites of his pie, so it isn’t a total loss.
His impressive ability to hold onto the pie made him an instant fans favourite on the social media platform ‘X’ with one supporter writing ‘Shout out to the lad with the pie’ followed by two laughing emojis
Another social media user said ‘Absolute cinema for that 2nd Leeds goal there. Bald bloke with a pie, dives into the celebrations, falls over the advertising hoarding, takes a big bite of the pie whilst horizontal. The Championship is the best league in the world.
With a third adding ‘This Leeds fan tryna save his pie then losing his filling anyway then still taking bite out of it’ followed by four laughing emojis.
Leeds 2-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday was their first three points to win this season
The celebrations although wild are rightly justified.
The Whites picked up their first Championship win of the season on Friday night, after failing on their first two attempts.
Daniel Farke’s side, who at one stage last season looked destined to return to England’s top flight, were held to a pulsating 3-3 draw by newly promoted side Portsmouth on the opening day.
Before they played out a stalemate in their second league game against Bournemouth.
This week however, Farke’s side looked back to their old selves despite losing multiple of their star players last season during this transfer window.
With Archie Gray, Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville all departing the club to join the Premier League.
