After putting in an incredible performance tonight, Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala spoke about the game, the future of Germany’s international squad, and building up to the World Cup.
In a post-game interview, Musiala acknowledged the new found joy the squad had at the EUROs this year, and spoke about how they must keep that same joy.
“It’s important we keep the joy we had at the EUROs. We have 20 games until the World Cup. We have to use every game. We lost four players playing a big role so we have to build up chemistry,” Musiala said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), also acknowledging the oncoming transition for the squad.
The Bayern Munich youngster played a game he will remember for a long time, and is clear about wanting his country to build the confidence leading up to the World Cup. A key highlight of this process seems to be his partnership with Florian Wirtz.
“It was great fun. It’s always fun to play with Flo. We found our rhythm after 1-2 goals and with that confidence we can keep playing the whole evening”
The pair’s fluid combination play was evident, with Musiala scoring once and assisting thrice, while Wirtz pulled the strings creatively. Their quick rhythm and growing confidence showcased the bright future that lies ahead for Germany.
As Germany transitions into a new era, Musiala and Wirtz are at the heart of it. With a youthful duo like them leading the charge, the national team is building a new foundation of success and chemistry for years to come.
