Bayern Munich prized youngster Aleksandar Pavlović came on as a sub for Germany in the 60th minute of the squad’s 5-0 rout of Hungary.
Needless to say, the 20-year-old made a serious impact on the match as he scored a goal, completed 35 of 35 passes (97%), and only lost possession two times. It was a ruthlessly efficient performance from the midfielder — and his national team head coach noticed.
“Pavlo played a great game. He was very dominant right away after he came on. He embodies a lot of what I want in the No. 6 position and is also a cool guy, funny and wants to win. I really, really like that,” Nagelsmann remarked (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
For now, Pavlović is behind Pascal Groß and Robert Andrich in the pecking order, but that could all change if the Bayern Munich phenom can continue his rapid development. Will he be able to secure a starting role for the 2026 World Cup?
