Manchester City winger Jack Grealish says he is gradually finding his best level again after being given consecutive starts for both club and country.
The 28-year-old struggled to get into the team at times last season as his form dipped but, speaking after the 2-1 win over Brentford at the weekend, he said:
“I’ve started three or four games in a row now for club and country, I’m starting to feel like I am getting that sharpness back.”
There was a mixed reaction to Grealish’s remarks among supporters on X, with some not convinced that the England international has shown any sign of improvement:
Played really well, he just needs to shoot more and I know he can score

Grealish’s stats tell a story
While the player himself may feel that he is contributing on the pitch, the fact that he hasn’t scored or provided an assist in his first 3 appearances for City this season kind of tells you all you need to know.
If Grealish is going to win over more fans, he must find an end product. A vast improvement is required on the 3 goals and 3 assists he managed last campaign.
2 big tests for City coming up
Supporters will be hoping that Grealish can produce the goods when the Premier League champions take on Inter Milan and Arsenal in their next twofixtures.
These games could have a major bearing on City’s season so securing six points would be a massive boost for the team.
