Paris Saint-Germain had generated scoring chances during this UEFA Champions League match against Girona. However, the finishing cost them as the capital club failed to convert their chances.
Nonetheless, luck shined bright on Luis Enrique and his team toward the end of the second half. Nuno Mendes fired off a shot from the left side of the box, which Paulo Gazzaniga should have saved, but he didn’t.
As Gazzaniga was set to grasp the ball, it went through his hands and legs and rolled over the line and into the back of the net. It proved to be the only goal of the contest, resulting in Girona losing.
