Arsenal have become the butt of the joke on social media once again with fans picking up on a certain detail in the club’s official team photo.
The Gunners players gathered together in their full kits at London Colney on Tuesday to pose for the annual group shot.
And fans on social media are poking fun at one element of the picture.
Title rivals Man City are known for placing their trophies from the previous season in front of the team when they take their squad photo.
However, Arsenal ended last trophy-less despite taking the Premier League title race to the final day of the season.
Fans have all been making the same joke after noticing a detail about Arsenal’s squad photo
And so instead of trophies there were two footballs placed in front of the stars.
And fans online were all making the same joke after spotting this.
‘Arsenal won zero trophies so they had to use balls instead,’ wrote one Man City fan with a series of laughing emojis.
Another posted on X: ‘Arsenal using balls in the team photo since they’ve won nothing.’
Another echoed the sentiments, joking: ‘Arsenal using balls in their team photo because they’ve not won anything.’
Arsenal and City will go head-to-head for the first time this season when they meet at the Etihad on Sunday.
City are top of the table with 12 points after winning all of their first four matches while Arsenal sit second with 10 points.
