Chelsea have had difficulties both on and off the pitch over the past couple of years, but Cole Palmer has been a shining light with his performances.
The 22-year-old has lit up the Premier League following his deadline day move to Chelsea from Manchester City and has established himself as one of the best players in the league.
Palmer was named Premier League Young Player of the Year lat season after scoring 22 goals and providing 11 assists.
The task for Palmer this season is whether he could replicate or improve on what he did last season and despite being man marked for the majority of the game against Bournemouth and West Ham he’s still made an impressive start to the campaign.
The England international has four assists and two goals from the first five games of the season and as per Squawka his goal against West Ham took him to 39 goal contributions since the start of last season, which is more than any other player in the league.
It’s quite some achievement given Palmer hadn’t scored a Premier League goal before he joined Chelsea and you wouldn’t bet against him having another brilliant campaign.
