Bayern Munich sure feels like it got its man in the end.
New head coach Vincent Kompany is off to a storming start in Bavaria and the early reviews are in — and glowing — for his on- and off-field work.
“Vincent is an incredibly empathetic person,” board member for sport Max Eberl said in recent remarks captured by Sport1 (via @iMiaSanMia). “He feels football with every ounce of his being. He has a clear vision of how he wants to play football, that’s what we need today. From a human perspective, he knows how to deal with the players, how to accurately communicate his ideas — active football, aggressive pressing, a lot of man to man and taking risks. That maybe wasn’t the case recently at Bayern. He holds a lot of long, intensive talks with the players.”
Whatsapp-gate? More like what’s up with the hate, amirite? Sounds like the Bayern bosses are totally thrilled with their new hire, and that everything from play style to communications style in the locker room has been a distinct departure from what came just before him.
