According to a release from FCBayern.com, Bayern Munich star Harry Kane suffered a “painful blow” to the ankle and will receive “intensive treatments”:
Harry Kane suffered a painful blow to his ankle in Saturday’s top Bundesliga match against Bayer Leverkusen ( 1:1 ). Examinations by FC Bayern’s medical department on Sunday showed a positive development. Kane will continue to receive intensive treatment.
The release was intentionally vague and did not indicate whether or not there was a strain or sprain, but it did create some doubt for Kane’s status for Tuesday’s Champions League match against Aston Villa.
Despite the injury against Bayer Leverkusen, Kane was pleased with Bayern Munich’s victory.
“We gave them very few chances, they were hardly in our half. If we carry on like this, we will be difficult to stop,” Kane told Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
