Lothar Matthäus has a reputation for going public with some questionable opinions, most of which criticized by Uli Hoeneß, but he recently made a statement that Bayern Munich fans can be on board with.
Jamal Musiala’s contract runs until 2026, and clubs have already begun eyeing the German youngster to fight for his signature. However, Lothar Matthäus wants Bayern to ‘go all in’.
“FC Bayern must have no limit with him. They have to go all in and get the sponsors on board as well. Give him a lifetime contract,” said the former Bayern and Germany player (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). Uli Hoeneß can’t possibly find anything wrong with this. Musiala has time and again proven that he is a generational talent, and is one of Bayern’s biggest assets. Letting him go would be a bigger mistake than losing Robert Lewandowski, Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui combined.
According to reports, Bayern is positive that they can extend Musiala’s contract, despite the demands he had for them. However, there is still always the risk of losing him to a bid from a club abroad.
