Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl is not fretting the team’s consecutive winless matches against Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga and Aston Villa in the Champions League.
”Both games, Leverkusen and Villa, were games that we would win if we played them more often. The results were not the reward for the work we did. You can’t lose that game against Villa. The only thing we can criticize against Villa was that we were at 95-96 percent. We all have to push ourselves to the absolute limit. We have to do the same in Frankfurt. The stakes are high there. We will face a similar intensity to the one we faced in Villa Park,” said Eberl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
The Bavarians will get the chance to find a way back on the winning track against Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday, but will have to do so without Jamal Musiala. While this one is not necessarily a “must win”, it is a “must have” three points if the Bavarians want to keep their distance over Die Adler and the other contenders in the Bundesliga table.
