Nicolas Jackson is such a good player, but has moments on the pitch which frustrate us so much.
It’s not just his occasional clumsy finish or lack of composure in front of goal. It’s the brainless offsides and yellow cards which he could so easily eliminate. Today is a perfect example. There was a late brawl on the touchline, and it was bad enough that Marc Cucurella got (very harshly) booked and therefore suspended from our game against Liverpool.
Yet Jackson – subbed at this point – decided to wade in and fully slap forest defender Morato. If this leads to a ban – and it could well – it will be a new high water mark for petulant stupidity from the Senegal star. We might yet get lucky, but the video is damning, and the FA are unlikely to be able to turn a blind eye.
You can see the moment in the clip embedded here:
Chelsea are Forest will both get fines for accumulating so many yellow cards after that match.
They could get a further fine for failing to control their players, Nicolas Jackson is also in trouble as a video appears to show him slapping Morato.pic.twitter.com/ttg2eKlIHv
