Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has now missed the last five games with a pelvis injury.
There was hope that the Belgian would return before the international break but he has had a couple of setbacks in his recovery.
Manager Pep Guardiola has played down the seriousness of the injury, despite the fact that he has also withdrawn from international duty for Belgium’s Nations League fixtures against Italy and France:
“It’s not a big issue, but he still doesn’t feel good, we’re managing his fitness issues. It’s better, less minutes, but the players don’t say that. They want to play every single game. That’s nice. That’s fine. But sometimes the body sends warnings.”
