Because there is no time like the present, Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies was asked about his future plans after the team’s 3-3 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt.
It was a question that Archie Rhind-Tutt had to ask, but also one he knew he likely would not get a real answer to.
“As of now, my full focus is to stay healthy and to play the game with the club I’m with right now. I’m not focused on what’s going on in the future. Just focusing on staying healthy and helping my team win,” Davies said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Davies was solid against Eintracht Frankfurt, but not spectacular. One of the biggest problems the Canadian has had over the last three years has been with losing the ball. After a very strong showing against Aston Villa, Davies lost possession 19 times against Die Adler — a drop from the seven times he lost it against Aston Villa.
As far his future goes, it would qualify as a shocker if he does not join Real Madrid for the 2025/26. Surely, though, Bayern Munich will make at least one final attempt to lock him, up with a long-term deal.
