Bayern Munich’s negotiations with Jamal Musiala seem to be going very smoothly.
In fact, the talks have been described as “positive” per Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg. Musiala was said to be “open” to a contract extension, but his salary cost might be higher than anticipated. With add-ons, Musiala is said to want €25 million per season:
FC Bayern remain in very positive talks for a contract extension with Jamal #Musiala ✔️
The 21y/o superstar is also very open to extending his contract beyond 2026. Max Eberl and the club’s executives have been informed of this.
His salary could increase to €25m gross per year with bonus payments included. Currently Musiala earns around €8-9m. New contract would be valid until 2029 or 2030.
No talks with Real Madrid or Manchester City at this time.

Musiala is sitting out this international break for the German national team and might have some time to ponder his future plans. What better time than now?
Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool FC, Arsenal FC, and Paris Saint-Germain are all rumored to be interested in Musiala.
