Paris Saint-Germain on the way to Ligue 1. This Saturday evening, the Parisian club hosts RC Strasbourg at the Parc des Princes as part of the 8th day of the French championship.
Held in check during the previous day on the pitch of OGC Nice, the Ile-de-France club must return to victory to overtake or maintain pressure on leader AS Monaco.
Present at a pre-match press conference this Friday at the PSG Campus, Luis Enrique spoke about the match and its squad. The Spanish technician was questioned about the poor form of young Frenchman Warren Zaire-Emery.
The Parisian titi has been less visible on the ground for several months. However, Luis Enrique defended his midfielder in front of journalists. “He’s great at the start of the season, in my opinion. We have a better Warren than last season, except maybe the last game but it was collective,” he blurted.
Starting this Saturday against Strasbourg?
Luis Enrique defended Warren Zaire-Emery at a press conference. However, the young French international is going through a delicate period where he is struggling to make a difference and prove himself valuable in the game, in the offensive area.
Same story with the France team, where he has had very little playing time since Euro 2024. This Saturday, however, he should appear in his coach’s starting 11 for the match against Strasbourg.
