After three games winless and two weeks to think about it, Vincent Kompany will be anxious to get Bayern Munich back on the pitch. Following a relatively uneventful international break (in terms of injuries) the Bavarians host Sebastian Hoeneß’s VfB Stuttgart at the Allianz Arena.
Kompany is under fire for his team’s lack of defensive solidity. The 3-3 draw to Eintracht Frankfurt in the last minute was a gut punch that has yet to heal. Given that Stuttgart are a high-octane attacking focused team, it’ll be a good chance for the coach to test whether his defense is capable of actually handling a decent offense, or whether it’ll be back to the drawing board before the FC Barcelona game.
