VfB Stuttgart CEO Alexander Wehrle thinks Alexander Nübel can step in at Bayern Munich when Manuel Neuer finally decides to step away from the club.
“Definitely. Alex is one of the best German goalkeepers and is therefore absolutely capable of taking over from Manuel Neuer,” Wehrle said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Nübel figures to play a key role for VfB Stuttgart in its match this weekend against his parent club and Wehrle is ready to watch the showdown.
“Bayern are definitely the clear favourites, no doubt about that. They are the standard in German football and have had an outstanding season so far. I’m very certain that Bayern will be German champions,” Wehrle remarked.
