On a play that was largely unnecessary, Bayern Munich phenom Aleksandar Pavlović has broken his collarbone per FCBayern.com.
The injury could keep the midfielder out for up to three months per Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), which also will cause him to miss the November international break, where he would have been called up to the German national team.
FCBayern.com’s release reads as follows:
Midfielder Aleksandar Pavlović (20) will be missing from FC Bayern in the coming weeks. The German international suffered a broken collarbone in the top Bundesliga match against VfB Stuttgart (4:0) on Saturday evening. This was the result of an examination by FC Bayern’s medical department after the match. Pavlović was substituted in the 8th minute after he fell awkwardly on his shoulder following an aerial duel with Stuttgart’s Fabian Rieder.
Now, João Palhinha figures to get the playing time that has eluded him this far during his tenure in Bavaria.
