Paris Saint-Germain reportedly have River Plate’s Franco Mastantuono as their top target and are prepared to activate his release clause. The clause is currently set at €40 million but could increase to €45 million in the final ten days of each transfer window.
Even with the Ligue 1 side’s aggressive pursuit, Diario AS’ Eduardo Burgos reports that Manchester United is one of the clubs keeping an eye on Mastantuono.
Nonetheless, there’s competition for the Argentine teenager as Barcelona, Manchester City, Arsenal, and Chelsea are all reportedly keen on the player.
Despite the interest from top European clubs, ESPN Argentina reports that Manchester United are keen to sign Mastantuono and plan to make their move in January.

With his contract running until 2026, there’s no immediate pressure to sell unless a club meets its valuation. Mastantuono has made 34 appearances across all competitions for the Argentine club, contributing four goals and two assists.
The Argentine fits PSG’s transfer strategy as he’s a young player who has yet to scratch his potential. If the French giants win this race for the River Plate ace, it will be interesting to see if they bring him to Paris or send him out on loan to get playing time and adapt to the European game.
