Bayern Munich has a lot of players whose contracts end in mid-2025 and the club is in the process of sorting everything out. One of the big names on that list is Joshua Kimmich whose status at the club fluctuates every now and then. Right after getting thrashed by FC Barcelona 4-1 in the Champions League, the 29-year-old was asked by a Spanish journalist on a possible move to the Catalans.
“I’m not thinking about that. But you should never rule anything out in life and also in football,” Kimmich said (via @iMiaSanMia). He also reiterated that “everyone knows I’m in talks with the club. What I discuss with the club remains internal. I won’t talk about it in a press conference.”
Kimmich has been a player that the Blaugrana has been linked to before, but the Rekordmeister is starting to build a reputation for mishandling contract talks. While it is obviously not a good sign, they need to sort themselves out (match results included).
