Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala has long been earmarked as a future superstar, with the club eager to renew the youngster and make him the face of the club. But there remained the question of whether his output has ever managed to reflect the youngster’s incredible feats in a game. For all his incredible skills and dribbles, does he do enough in front of goal?
But Musiala has been out to answer this question with an empathetic “yes” this season, notching his 5th goal in 8 Bundesliga matches with an incredible long range strike against St Pauli. Having taken a step back in his goal contributions last season, Musiala admits that adding goals and assists to his improvement as a player has been on his mind:
“I think I already made steps forward last season. The goals and assists were a bit missing, but now I’m getting them along with good performances,” Musiala says, as captured by @iMiaSanMia. “I’m feeling better and trying to play as many games at a high level as possible.”
At the moment, the former Chelsea FC youngster is scaling heights not many would have believed possible. Did anybody think Musiala had that kind of shot, with that kind of swerve, shot power and single minded ferocity on it, in his locker? Now the world knows he does, though. It was yet another signal from Jamal Musiala to spell out a simple message: Look out, Europe.
