Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala and Bayern Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz are set to make beautiful music together for a long time to come with the Germany men’s national team.
Despite both operating best in the half-spaces, Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann has found a way to incorporate them into the same XI, to devastating effect as shown in EURO 2025.
That display has done nothing to quell speculation that Bayern — long admirers of Wirtz, one of the top German talents of his generation — will bring the pair together at club level.
But that won’t be cheap, and Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen continued to defer on the question.
“We don’t have to worry about the future of the national team. Whether the two will ever play together [at club level] remains to be seen,” Dreesen last said on the topic in comments captured by Sport Bild (via @iMiaSanMia).
