Bayern Munich is a perfect three-for-three so far in the UEFA Women’s Champions League with wins against each of the other teams in the group: first Arsenal FC, then Juventus, and most recently Vålerenga.
Now it is time to complete the loop with a return trip to Norway for the rematch with Vålerenga.
Arsenal sits only three points behind Bayern and emphatically smashed Juventus on the last matchday, so the Bavarians will need to stay at their best — especially with a second match against the Gunners looming.
It’s Bayern time.
12’ — Bayern chance again!
Bayern’s Weronika Zawistowska gallops down the right flank and gets played in way behind. In acres of space, she delivers a perfect cross but Pernille Harder doesn’t get good contact from a golden position. That’s a real let off for the hosts.
8’ — Chance!
Sarah Zadrazil cuts into the box and finds a nice cutback lane. Linda Dallmann is there but hesitates and leaves the ball…but nobody is behind her. Looked like a goal was coming.
Lineups out!
