Arsenal could receive a big injury boost ahead of the Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium.
Leandro Trossard was substituted in the first half of the Nations League game against Israel earlier this week and there has been no update from Arsenal.
However, Daily Mail claim that the club are optimistic he will be ready for the Forest game. He suffered a severe bruising, but could recover in time.
Trossard’s form has been poor over the past few weeks, but Arsenal continue to consider him as a key part of their future plans under Mikel Arteta.
His influence has been limited from the starting XI lately and the return of Martin Odegaard could be a blessing in disguise for the ex-Brighton man.
Odegaard is expected to start ahead of Trossard after his injury break. The latter has been more effective when coming off the bench for Arsenal.
Arsenal will be aiming to end a four-match winless league streak when they host Forest on Saturday.
The London giants are currently nine points behind leaders Liverpool in the English top-flight.
