28’ — GOAL! Pernille Harder (or maybe Gwinn or maybe an own goal) opens the scoring for Bayern!!
15’ — No goals yet. Freiburg had the first sold chance, but Bayern have had more and clearer chances.
Kickoff: We are underway in Freiburg!
The FC Bayern Frauen campaign continues. Bayern Munich swaps the Champions League, where they faltered on the road and drew against feisty Vålerenga, for the domestic cup, where they travel to face SC Freiburg.
The run of games does not really let up from here. The international period is next, and Germany play two matches (November 29 at Switzerland and December 2 vs. Italy). Bayern return to Frauen-Bundesliga action after that at SGS Essen on December 7th with two straight Champions League midweeks to juggle before the winter break.
Managing fitness during a run like this will be the challenge for Bayern coach Alexander Straus. Can the Bavarians get through this in one piece?
It’s Bayern time.
