Paris Saint-Germain dropped a 1-0 decision to Bayern Munich and Marquinhos thinks it had a whole lot to do with the treatment that the French club received from the referee.
“We don’t like to talk about the referee but he was harsh against us. He didn’t make it easy for us. All 50-50 calls were in Bayern’s favor. In the goal situation, the goalkeeper was blocked,” Marquinhos told Canal+ (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
While it might be true that PSG was on the wrong end of a few decisions, it would be really tough to argue that the fouls and cards were not well-deserved. Perhaps on another day, Ousmane Dembélé does not make the game about himself with two yellow cards…and maybe on another day, Bayern Munich does not fluff four quality chances.
Regardless, Bayern Munich picked up the win and PSG can only lament what might have been.
