West Ham travel to Leicester to face a Foxes team newly re-vitalised under Ruud Van Nistelrooy. West Ham’s head coach is under pressure following his side’s 5-2 capitulation against Arsenal. The conundrum for the Hammers coach is largely surrounding his midfield maverick Mohammed Kudus who is available again after his 5 game ban.
Crysencio Summerville has performed well in Kudus’ absence: Will the head coach axe Summerville or could there – at last – be a place for both in the starting eleven.
The defence is also the subject of conjecture, Jean Clair Todibo having an issue which may keep him out of the starting eleven if Konstantinos Mavropanos is fit again after his virus which kept him out of the squad at the weekend.
The line up has been announced by Lopetegui in advance of tonights ‘must win’ game:
West Ham United – Four Changes:
Fabianski | Wan Bissaka, Mavropanos ,Kilman, Coufal| Soucek, Soler, Alvarez| Bowen, (c) Ings, Kudus
Return to the bench for Niclas Fullkrug. Kaelan Casey first in line for defensive duty, no sign of Jean Clair Todibo or Alphonse Areola. Lucas Paquetá is dropped to the bench!
