good morning
And welcome to another edition of What Are You Reading Right Now?, where the hoddle discusses books they’re currently reading.
The last few editions for me have been pretty consistent. I am just getting through Fernando Pessoa: A Biography one chapter at a time. Eleven months into reading it I can proudly say I am finally past page 600 (of a little over 900).
That’s pretty exciting! If all goes according to schedule, I might be done by March.
I took a quick break from reading this over the weekend to read something with a bit more festive cheer instead.
I’m talking about Agatha Christie’s The Adventure of the Christmas Pudding.
The book stars her classic character Hercule Poirot, who reluctantly takes on a job in the country to help some royal person locate a missing ruby. I will not dole out spoilers, except for we all know how it’s going to end.
Still, it’s a fun if brief read. And a nice, little 60-some page book to get through the holiday season.
With that brief detour having come and gone, I will now return to my regularly scheduled reading of the Pessoa biography.
