Bayern Munich’s pursuit of Tim Bischof has been a long one. From when he was a young teenager years away from making his Bundesliga debut, let alone starring in Germany’s top division as he is now, Bayern have had an eye on TSG Hoffenheim’s little magician. This interest became concrete multiple times over those years, but Bischof never deemed it a good time to leave his boyhood club.
Certainly, Bischof knows of the Bavarians’ long-standing interest in him, which may be why he can readily admit it simply does not faze him: “No, I’m absolutely only concentrating on football at the moment,” the Germany youth international says, via @iMiaSanMia. “I’m completely blocking that out. I think you can see it on the pitch. I read it, but I’m not thinking about it.”
So when can a decision on his future be expected? “We’ll see” was Bischof’s simple answer.
Might Bischof finally decide to join Bayern this time? Will he snub the Bavarians yet again for a club in Borussia Dortmund or Eintracht Frankfurt that perhaps promised more game time? Or may he actually stay with relegation threatened Hoffenheim? As Bischof so eloquently put it, we’ll see.
