Arsenal show interest in Rashford as United pursue Ayden Heaven
Arsenal are reportedly among the clubs interested in signing Marcus Rashford, who has fallen out of favour with Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim. Rashford, however, is focused on securing a move to Barcelona, even apparently expressing willingness to take a pay cut to facilitate a permanent transfer according to the Sunday papers.
Despite Arsenal’s interest, alongside Borussia Dortmund and Napoli, Rashford appears set on a loan move to the Spanish giants for the rest of the season, with United prepared to cover most of his £300,000-a-week wages to make the deal happen.
Meanwhile, United are pursuing Arsenal’s 18-year-old defensive prospect Ayden Heaven. Out of contract this summer, the highly-rated defender has caught the attention of several top clubs, including Barcelona and Eintracht Frankfurt, but United are currently leading the race to secure his signature.
Arsenal favourites to sign Norwegian wonderkid Sverre Nypan
Arsenal are leading the race to secure the signature of 18-year-old Rosenborg star Sverre Nypan, despite fresh interest from Aston Villa.
The Norwegian midfielder has attracted inquiries from over 10 top European clubs, but with Manchester City and Manchester United reportedly cooling their interest according to some of the Sunday papers, the Gunners have emerged as clear frontrunners.
Arsenal are reportedly offering Nypan a direct pathway into their first team, with captain Martin Ødegaard playing a pivotal role in persuading his fellow Norwegian to join the Emirates.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa, Brighton, and several Spanish and German clubs remain in contention for the highly-rated teenager.
