The FA has entrusted Tuchel with the task of ending England’s major tournament drought, stretching back to 1966, after securing him on an 18-month contract that runs through the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
His reign begins next week with back-to-back World Cup qualifiers at Wembley, as Albania and Latvia arrive in quick succession.
In recent weeks, Tuchel was in contact with a wide pool of players, initially compiling a 55-man shortlist before finalising his squad.
With England’s new era officially underway, Tuchel faces the immediate challenge of shaping a squad capable of delivering success on the international stage, balancing youth with experience as he looks to build towards 2026.
