Bayern Munich’s Sacha Boey arrived in Bavaria back in January of 2024 and captured the imagination of some fans who were looking for new blood at the right-back position.
After paying €30 million guaranteed (plus €5 million in add-ons), Bayern Munich has not gotten much return on its investment. Multiple injuries have derailed Boey, and when the 24-year-old has played, he has not exactly wowed anyone consistently.
Now, rumors are swirling that Christoph Freund’s big transfer decision could turn around and be sold this summer. Konrad Laimer and Josip Stanišić have emerged atop Boey on Vincent Kompany’s depth chart, while Bayern Munich is also — allegedly — scoping the market for a potential move as well.
BFW Community…you tell us — is it too early to give up on Boey?
