Jesper Lindstrom started for Denmark on Thursday night and earned positive reviews from his first appearance in more than 18 months
Jesper Lindstrom has revived his career at Everton, his performances improving with the growing faith in him shown by David Moyes. The winger still has a long way to go to convince the Blues to make his loan move permanent, the returning Blues boss challenging him to provide more goals and assists in the final weeks of the campaign.
But he has formed a blossoming relationship with Jake O’Brien down the Everton right and the pair have been influential in the nine- game unbeaten Premier League run that has carried the club 17 points clear of the bottom three.
Lindstrom is growing in confidence and was rewarded with his first call-up to the Denmark squad since 2023 this month.

The 25-year-old started in the 1-0 Nations League win over Portugal on Thursday night and earned positive reviews from the Danish media.
BT gave him four stars out of six, writing: “‘Hello, who was the Danish number 18? Why hasn’t he been there before?’ That’s how BT read the lips of several [supporters] in Parken last night.
“‘But it was Jesper ‘Jobbe’ Lindstrøm who finally got some air pumped into a career that was punctured in Napoli. He seemed SO physically sharp – and with a little luck and coolness he would have also scored a time or two.”
DR gave him 7/12 for his display and praised Lindstrom from stepping up in the absence of Mikkel Damsgaard. They wrote: “This gave Lindstrøm the chance, who took the chance. The first half is by far the best that ‘Jobbe’ has played for the national team in his now 17 international matches, and he came close to putting Denmark ahead after a good solo run.”
Ekstra Bladet, meanwhile, was a little more critical, but still acknowledged Lindstrom’s “lively” display in their 6/10 rating.
They wrote: “It was not noticeable that Lindstrøm has not scored in 78 games and still. Despite promising tactics, Lindstrøm often made the wrong decision when it mattered. Fantastic drive after a little over half an hour, where he came to a huge opportunity, but then the determination was missing.
“The chance was [to] Jesper Lindstrøm’s merit, but poorly executed.”
