One of the main priorities for Graham Potter this summer will be to bring an elite striker to West Ham United.
Graham Potter is apparently unlikely to sign Evan Ferguson for West Ham on a permanent deal in the summer.
And with Danny Ings set to leave West Ham, Niclas Fullkrug likely to move on and Michail Antonio facing an uncertain future, the addition of a new striker will be a necessity.
Potter cannot afford to let the summer window drift by without bringing a top-class centre-forward to the London Stadium.
The Hammers head coach is said to be desperate to shake things up at the London Stadium this summer, by injecting more dynamism and youth into his ranks.
However, the latest transfer rumour concerns a potential deal for an experienced Premier League forward.
West Ham offered chance to sign Yoane Wissa
Brentford forward Yoane Wissa will be out of contract with the Bees in the summer of 2026
And the west London outfit are struggling to agree terms on a new deal with the Congo international striker.
As a result, Claret and Hugh claim that Brentford have offered Wissa to West Ham for around £25 million.
The 28-year-old joined the Bees from FC Lorient in the summer of 2021, and he has gone on to bag 44 goals and nine assists in 140 games for them (Transfermarkt).

He has a very good record against the Hammers, with three goals to his name in eight meetings with us.
Brentford have won six of those games.
With the Hammers keen to sign a new striker with real pace this summer, Wissa surely wouldn’t be a bad option.
However, C&H claim that Potter has rebuffed the offer due to the fact that he believes the forward is too expensive given his age, and the small amount of time remaining on his contract.
That’s fair enough. As long as Potter signs a young striker with real pace and genuine quality, then I’ll be more than happy.
However, I can’t help but feel like Yoane Wissa would be a really good option for West Ham, what with his speed and ability to make runs in behind the opposition’s defence.
Perhaps he will be a realistic target for the Hammers this summer if the Bees lower their demands.
