Mason Mount ‘not on Bayern Munich’s radar’ despite reports claiming German club were looking to hijack Man United move for Chelsea star
Bayern Munich are not interested in pursuing a deal for Chelsea star Mason Mount despite reports linking the German champions with a sensational late swoop.
Mount has been the subject of interest from Man United, who have launched three failed bids for the wantaway Blues midfielder.
The impasse had raised questions over whether the England international would in fact end up at Old Trafford with Bayern believed to be monitoring the situation.
However, according to the German outlet Bild, Thomas Tuchel’s men have not identified the 24-year-old as a transfer target this summer.
The Bavarians are believed to be interested in acquiring a midfielder in this window with Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong and Man City’s Kalvin Phillips linked with moves to the Allianz Arena.

The side have also already completed the signing of former RB Leipzig midfielder Konrad Laimer on a free transfer, as Tuchel sets about restructuring the roster ahead of his first full campaign.
As for Mount, his future looks set to be in Manchester with Erik ten Hag’s League cup winners, though United and Chelsea remain some way short of agreeing a deal.
United’s latest offer, comprised of a £50million guaranteed payment plus £5m in add-ons, was received by Chelsea last Friday and turned down by the day’s end.
The Blues instantly countered with a £58million plus £7million deal, leaving the ball back in United’s court.
Old Trafford chiefs are said to be very reluctant to pay any more for Mount, with indications on Friday afternoon that it would be their final offer.
