Bayern Munich has stepped up their transfer activity in the past few weeks. After completing deals for Raphael Guerreiro and Konrad Laimer, Bayern is close to signing Kim Min-jae from Napoli. The South Korean defender completed the medicals in the past two days, allowing Die Roten to activate his release clause.
The Bavarian club also wants to add a number nine to the squad this summer. The club chiefs have made Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane the primary target for this position. The English striker is an attractive option for Die Roten since he has one year left on his contract.
Bayern had the first bid worth €70 million plus add-ons rejected for Kane a few days ago. Tottenham is eager to keep Kane for next season despite the risk of losing him for nothing next summer. The English club has taken another big step to send a message across Die Roten that Kane is not for sale.
According to The Guardian, Spurs have offered a new bumper contract to Harry Kane in a bid to stop him from leaving the club this summer. The English striker is in no rush to sign a new contract, particularly during the summer transfer window. Athletic’s David Ornstein has also confirmed that Spurs is ready to negotiate a new deal for Kane going into the final 12 months of his current contract.
Kane is open to joining Bayern, but it remains to be seen if he is going to put in an official transfer request to force a move. The English striker reportedly held productive talks with Thomas Tuchel regarding a move to Bavaria. Die Roten will have no problems when it comes to agreeing personal terms with the English forward.
Bayern is expected to make an improved second bid for Harry Kane in the coming days. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is eager to keep the English forward after a difficult last season. It remains to be seen what kind of offer will change Levy’s mind. Kane is likely to command a nine-figure fee despite his contract situation at Spurs.

The Bavarian club will need Kane to push for a move, which will bring Levy to the negotiation table. It is going to be a difficult deal for Bayern to complete quickly. The Bavarian club cannot afford to wait until the end of August, so something has to give in sooner rather than later to make this transfer happen this summer.
