Several Man United players are back in pre-season training, ahead of the tour which starts in about a fortnight.
Manchester United Football Club, just like that, have returned. The month-long break has gone super quickly this time. We’ve largely been distracted due to the fact that club ownership remains up in the air.
Behind the scenes, Erik ten Hag has no doubt been putting in the graft to bring in new players. Thus far, Mason Mount has been signed, though it’s likely others will follow.
Yesterday was the first official day of the 2023/24 pre-season. Erik ten Hag was pictured back in the building, as were a whole host of United stars, including Amad, Lisandro Martinez and Antony.

It’s so good to see the lads starting to make their returns. Martinez, in particular, who is now back from injury and ready to get back to his best form. I truly believe we’re going to see even more from him next year.
We’ve always been big believers in pre-season. It’s such an important time for players to build up their fitness levels in order to hit the ground running when the serious stuff starts in about a month or so.
For new signings like Mount, it presents an opportunity to get to know your new teammates – both on and off the field.
While for youngsters, it gives them the chance to show the gaffer what they’re capable of in an in-game situation. Sure, these may only be friendly matches, but it’s an excellent indicator towards what the future could potentially hold for some of these players.
Welcome back, lads!
