More Man United stars have returned to pre-season training after their summer holidays.
Manchester United Football Club began their pre-season a week or so ago, with a youthful squad beating Leeds United 2-0 in their opening game.
As we edge closer to the United States tour, senior faces are starting to show up for training. Those that have been playing for their countries have been offered an extended break – in order to rest those weary legs after a long campaign.
Saturday seemed to be the main date for senior members of the United squad to come back. The official club Twitter account shared photos of several United stars making their 2023 training debuts, including Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes, among others.
Now, the hard work really starts for these guys. Although these players are unlikely to feature against Lyon in Edinburgh on Wednesday, they will be fit for the US Tour the following week.

Erik ten Hag has always made it clear that young players will have to earn their place in the senior squad. They’ll be no handouts under this manager and you’re going to have to prove your worth – rather than being given opportunities.
Although it was nice to see the younger lads against Leeds United, you’d suspect things will now return to normality, with the usual players set to be out in full force from here on out.
The likes of Fernandes, Rashy, Luke Shaw and others will be back to reclaim their places in the starting line-up, as they look to continue to improve under their Dutch gaffer.
Welcome back, lads!
